FAQ
The Product
Are MIRALOS shoes truly handmade?
Yes — entirely. Every pair is hand-stitched by artisans in Lima, Peru. We do not use assembly line production. Each pair passes through the same set of skilled hands from start to finish, which is also why our production is intentionally limited.
What makes the rubber sole special?
Our soles are made from natural rubber tapped from Hevea trees in the Peruvian Amazon. Unlike synthetic rubber, natural rubber is more flexible underfoot, molds slightly to the shape of your foot over time, and is biodegradable. It also connects every pair to one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on earth.
What materials are used?
Upper: full-grain leather. Lining: natural leather. Sole: Amazonian natural rubber. Hardware (where applicable): solid brass. Everything is sourced with origin in mind.
How long will my pair last?
With proper care, a MIRALOS pair is built to last many years. The natural rubber sole is highly durable, and full-grain leather improves with wear and age. We make shoes intended to outlast trends — and fast fashion.
Sizing
How does MIRALOS sizing run?

We begin processing orders quickly. If you need to modify or cancel, email us at hello@miralos.com within 2 hours of placing your order. After that, we cannot guarantee changes can be made.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes — a confirmation email is sent immediately after your order is placed. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or contact us at hello@miralos.com.
Sustainability & Origin
Is MIRALOS a sustainable brand?
We prefer the word honest. We use natural materials with a traceable origin, we work with skilled artisans rather than factories, and we produce in limited quantities. Those decisions have a positive environmental impact — but sustainability is the result of our values, not a marketing label we apply to ourselves.
Where exactly does the rubber come from?
Our natural rubber is harvested in the Amazon region of Peru. It is tapped from living Hevea trees by hand — a process that does not harm the tree and has been practiced in the Amazon for generations.
Who makes MIRALOS shoes?
A small group of artisans based in Lima, Peru, with whom we work directly. They are not anonymous suppliers — they are the reason MIRALOS exists.
